There are many clubs and societies to join the best known being The British Matchbox Label & Booklet Society for an annual fee of just £12 you get a magazine 6 times a year packed with information and details of forthcoming events, plus there are regular auctions, well worth joining, details can be found in the web links. Another good club to join is The West and Midlands Phillumenists, for just £5 a year you will get regular magazines, they hold two matchbox fairs a year, and there's a chance to meet and talk to fellow collectors.

The next event is the West and Midlands Phillumenist meeting at Winchcombe, this is a very friendly meetings at one of the loveliest towns in England, it's on the 26th June so get yourself along, there will be tables, exchanges, refreshments and a 100 lot auction, doors will be open from 9.30 am

Events Taking Place in 2010

January 23rd at Oxford. from 9am--4pm, Exeter Hall, Oxford Street, Kidlington, OX51AB. Exchanges, sales, exhibition and auction.

Sunday February 7th from 9-30am--4pm at the Sheene Lane Centre, 74 Sheene Lane, East Sheene, London, SW148LP. The British Matchbox Label and Booklet Society, Phillumeny Fair. Exhibits, Exchanges, Sales and an auction starting at 1-30. All welcome, admission £1

Sunday March 21st. the East Malling Show at East Malling Community Hall, New Road, East Malling, Kent, ME196DD, the doors will be open from 9.30am, there will be trading tables, an auction and an exhibition plus refreshments will be available all day.

Sunday April 18th. 9-30--4pm at the Sheene Lane Centre, 74 Sheene Lane, East Sheene , London, SW148LP. British Matchbox Label and Booklet Society Annual General Meeting and Phillumenists Fair. Exhibits, sales, exchanges and an auction commences at 1-30pm. All welcome, admission £1

Saturday May 22nd, The Annual Derby Exhibition will be held at The West Indian Community Centre. Carrington street, Derby. doors will be open from 9am untill 4pm, There will be trading tables, refreshments, a bar and an auction , parking is free and admission will be £1.

Saturday June 26th from 10am--4pm, the West and Midlands Phillumenists Annual Trades Fair will be held at The New Community Centre, Winchcombe, there will be sales, exchanges, an auction which starts at 1-30 and refreshments will be available, for details phone Peter Campion on 01242604227.

Saturday September 4th The North West Phillumenists Annual Exhibition, Memorial Hall, Chester Way, Northwich, Cheshire, CW95QJ, Exhibitions and Auctions.

Saturday 20th November, the 2nd Southern Englands Phillumenists Fair, at St. Peters Community Centre, the Hydneye, Hampden Park, Eastbourne, East Sussex , BN229BY, the door will be open at 9.30 for traders and exhibitors, open to the public at 10 am, there will be an auction
